OVERVIEW
Fall Event committee volunteers support our fall fundraiser, the Brew HaHa. These volunteers perform a wide variety of tasks based on their skills and the needs of the committee. Volunteers assist with planning and implementing marketing strategies to grow revenues and awareness of GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee through special events. Support tasks include marketing, engagement, donations, sponsorships, in-kind gifts, and community outreach.
The ideal candidate(s) should have an interest in marketing successful galas, walks/runs, golf outings, and lifestyle events such as wine/liquor tastings, art events, and/or fashion events. S/he will have the ability to travel routinely within the greater Milwaukee area. S/he has project/event management, marketing, or volunteer management skills and works well with a team.
TARGETED ACTIONS:
- Assist with event planning, activities, and benchmarks to keep the committee on task and up-to-date.
- Actively Participate in meetings and volunteering and show initiative
- Assist the committee with planning the details of the event including location, time, budget, donations, volunteers, materials, etc.
- Work with outside organizations to raise awareness/partner and to advertise for the event
- Build successful relationships with sponsors, attendees and volunteers for the purposes of promoting and facilitating additional donation and partnership opportunities.
- Assist with acquiring sponsorships and donations from past donors, businesses, and new connections.
- Solicit in-kind gifts from past donors, businesses, and destination locations for use in silent auction raffle baskets or live auctions.
- Plan, implement and create unique and memorable events including our fall Brew HaHa and other special events in collaboration with volunteer chairpersons and committee members.
- Engage Playhouse families and the community to spread awareness, solicit attendees, and sell tickets.
- Recruit and develop volunteers leading up to the event and on the day of the event.
- Support the fall event from set up to clean up
- Assist with event marketing efforts to target strategic audiences.
- Complete necessary branding, print, and mailing activities for events to support the event(s).
- Marketing to local civic organizations, businesses, schools and the community to grow this signature event.
- Develop and collaborate with the marketing team to enhance social media engagement and email marketing campaigns.
