Our hospice volunteers profoundly affect the quality or our patients' lives; they bring comfort to patients and relief to their caregivers by offering a supportive presence, a listening ear, and a helping hand. These volunteers give the greatest gift of all - themselves!
Allay's training will help prepare you to work side-by-side with the hospice team to provide compassionate care and support when it is needed most. This session includes a review of the hospice philosophy, the role of the volunteer and other staff members, as well as, helpful skills for meaningful visits with hospice patients and their families.
