Ozaukee Nonprofit Center is seeking a friendly, organized volunteer one day per week for the front desk.  Tasks include greeting visitors, directing to proper agencies, assisting with identified events and some computer work. The volunteer will also be responsible to meet the needs of visitors utilizing the Baby Bank as well as stocking the Baby Bank. In person interview required.  Center hours are Monday - Thursday 9-4 and Fridays 9-Noon.   Contact: admin@oznc.org

We are in need of a volunteer to drive a box truck (with a co-driver) for pickups every other Friday.  10:15am-12:15pm.  Must be able to use a pallet jack to load pallets(200+lbs) of donations onto truck, return to Family Sharing, and offload pallets.

The most frequent request made by Lily Hospice patients is for a visit from a Certified Therapy Dog or Therapy Cat. We want to honor those requests. Can you help?

If you & your dog, cat or other furry/feathered companion have been evaluated and certified as a Therapy Animal Team, we are looking for you! Join our "Fur-Get-Me-Not Friends" Program!

We recognize how important Animal-Assisted Therapy (sometimes called "pet therapy") visits can be to hospice patients. Not only are these visits a welcome distraction from daily routine, but they give patients an opportunity to reminisce about their own beloved pets; and for those patients that are a little more withdrawn, therapy animals provide affection without the need for conversation. We often hear hospice patients, and their families, remark that the therapy animal visits are the highlight of their day or week.

We welcome dogs, cats, rabbits & more; however, ALL must have proof of therapy animal certification prior to visiting Lily Hospice patients.

Are you that compassionate individual who is eager to help but your schedule makes it difficult to be on-site to volunteer? As a Virtual Hospice Companion, you will be that periodic welcome phone or online visit for a patient in hospice care. Here’s a way to give back and make a difference from anywhere. Remote volunteering is flexible, inclusive, and impactful. If you have a caring heart, Horizon Home Care and Hospice will provide training, especially centered around therapeutic communication with the dying and the grieving.

Horizon Home Care and Hospice is certified by Joint Commission and reports to the State Board. As required, you should plan on 10-15 hours of on-site orientation structured to your schedule.

Virtual, phone and online volunteers are a key part of a patient’s care team. This opportunity is flexible and meaningful; your impact will be clear. While your comforting virtual contact will brighten someone’s day, you will be amazed how your day is brightened as well.

We are looking for 2 volunteers to assist with our home delivery program!  You would help by delivering to clients that are home-bound every other week.  You must be able to carry grocery bags, possibly up stairs into client's homes.  You will work with another person at all times. 

Hours are every other Wednesday from 10am-12pm. 

We are in need of one volunteer to help with packing and delivering for our senior meals program.  You must be able to go up and down stairs and carry 20-25 pounds.  

Hours are Thursdays from 7:30am-10:00am. We are looking for someone to start in August. 

Are you that compassionate and creative individual who is eager to help but your schedule makes it difficult to be on-site to volunteer? Use your knitting, quilting or crafting skills to bring comfort, dignity, and gratitude to veteran hospice patients by creating handmade lap blankets with patriotic colors or themes (red, white, blue, military‑inspired patterns, stars, etc.).

The need is year-round and these blankets serve as a heartfelt thank you for a lifetime of service. For many veterans at the end of life, a handmade blanket offers warmth, comfort, and a visible sign of appreciation. These blankets often become treasured keepsakes for patients and their families—symbols of honor, service, and national gratitude. 

Horizon will provide you with guidelines for blanket size, and drop‑off instructions. While our country’s 250th anniversary as a country is behind us, our need to thank our veterans is never ending. This project is one small but powerful way to say: Your service is remembered. Your sacrifice matters.

As a Reiki / Energy Support Volunteer for Hospice patients, you will be that periodic welcome visit for a patient in hospice care. Here’s a way to give back, putting your certification to meaningful use.

Horizon Home Care and Hospice will provide training centered around therapeutic communication with the dying and the grieving, to enhance the effectiveness of your Reiki skills. Your role, which will take place at Horizon’s inpatient units, patient homes or other partner facilities, is complementary and does not replace medical or clinical care.

Horizon Home Care and Hospice is certified by Joint Commission and reports to the State Board. As required, you should plan on 10-15 hours of on-site orientation structured to your schedule.

Your calm and respectful volunteer service will become a key part of a patient’s care team. This opportunity is flexible and meaningful; your impact will be clear.
