It's almost Maple Sugarin' season at Riveredge! There's no better fresh-air cure for cabin fever than a walk in the maple woods during March, collecting sap "the old-fashioned way." Join the friendly crew of volunteer sap haulers who help make Riveredge's maple syrup. If you are retired or have a flexible schedule, your help is welcome when the sap starts to run!
Sap hauling involves walking, lifting, bending, and hauling 3 to 5 gallon buckets of fresh sap.
If you're up for a challenge and can commit the time to learn how to run the evaporator, evaporator volunteers are always needed! Contact: hsedgwick@riveredge.us
