Volunteer: Remote Volunteer Work for Aurora Health CareAre you interested in making a positive impact on inpatients in our hospitals without leaving your home?
We would love to have you on our team! We are looking for volunteers to call inpatients while in the hospital to welcome them to our care, relay visitation guidelines and inquire how their stay has been.
Concierge Admission Program (CAP) include the following tasks for volunteers: Remotely, volunteers call patients using a well-developed script and introduce themselves, inquire how their patient experience has been since they arrived and explains the hospitals visitation guidelines. Volunteers inquire with patients if their emergency contact would like us to call to explain visitation guidelines and to ensure they have patient’s room phone number/nurse unit phone number. If yes, volunteers will place these calls. If/when patients relay needs or concerns, we connect with nursing staff at the end of the patient call to assist in real time with the need/concern. If/when patients recognize staff for providing exceptional care, we send recognition emails to the staff members with a copy to their leader.
Advocate Aurora computer access is provided for all volunteers. Training consists of 4-6 hours. Volunteers will learn to place and conduct patient calls with the guidance of our training coordinator, and when the volunteer feels confident with the call script and all questions/concerns are answered, they may begin to make calls on their own.

Agency: Aurora Health Care Grafton Are you interested in making a positive impact on inpatients in our hospitals without leaving your home?

Volunteer: Lily Hospice Companions (Grafton/Cedarburg area)At Lily Home & Hospice, we strive to make the end of life as comfortable as possible for those we visit by providing care that is personalized to each individual. We emphasize our patient's quality of life instead of the duration and strive to make this experience more inclusive rather than isolated. Many hospice patients need and want someone to spend time with, and we are looking for compassionate, dedicated volunteers to give them that most basic of needs - human connection.
Lily Hospice Volunteers provide comfort and support through companionship, finding meaning in every moment. As a volunteer, you might spend time just talking, sharing stories and memories, listening to music or watching a movie, assisting with an activity or other non-medical tasks. There are also times to simply sit quietly with a patient to let them know they are not alone. We take our mission seriously, but we also have fun while partnering with our patients on their journey. At Lily Hospice, we care for our patients in the comfort of their own home. For some, home might be a private residence, while others might reside in an assisted living or nursing facility/health center. Visitors are needed throughout the Grafton/Cedarburg area. We do take into account your location to assign visits that are within or near your own community.
