Who We Are
You can make a difference as a volunteer and help us to achieve our mission. While our journey to restore this natural area to pre-settlement conditions will take another 100 years to realize, a place of unique beauty exists now.
This land will never be covered with roof tops and driveways. It will be a peaceful refuge for us, forever. You can help by volunteering to:
- Support our efforts to partner with schools and youth groups that bring students of all ages back in touch with nature.
- Help to remove invasive species and plant and maintain native trees, plants and wildflowers that restore the land to the forests, wetlands and prairie it once was.
- Contribute your time to conducting educational presentations and programs at the PieperPower Education Center, as well as other MNP special events.
- Become a critical part of helping us to create the legacy—restoring the land and preserving the habitat forever!
What We Do
Our mission is to be a guiding example of restoration by returning an urban/suburban area to pre-settlement conditions and establishing an environmental education conservancy and natural habitat that inspires exploration and cultivates stewardship, encouraging visitors to get off the path.
