Who We Are

Humane Society of Sheboygan County is an "Open Admissions Shelter" which shelters 2,500 animals every year, and we are not funded by any tax dollars. HCCS is a 501c3 organization, and donations are tax-deductible. Our mission: The prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, and the extension of humane education.

What We Do

Humane Society of Sheboygan County shelters 2,500 animals each year, and ensures that all adoptable animals are placed in an adoptive home. The humane society also offers low cost spay/neuter services, Trap-Neuter-Release programs to benefit neighborhood cats and the community, barn cat placement, and and adoption ambassador program. In addition, SCAdopt is involved in community education and events, involving both staff and volunteers. This includes hosting and caring for the adoptable cats at PetSmart in Grafton.
