Volunteer User Manual

How do I create a profile?  You can use this website to browse Volunteer opportunities, but in order to view the full details of each opportunity and sign up to participate, you must create a Volunteer Profile. Complete the short form, and then log in with your user name and password.  Your information is stored in a secure database that connects Volunteer Centers, non-profit organizations and their Volunteer opportunities, to interested volunteers. Once you log in, you will have the ability to view and edit your profile. 

How do I find an Opportunity?To help you to find a volunteer opportunity that is the right match for your interests, needs, and skills, three options are available. Using the search opportunities and organizations option allows you to search by keyword,  zip code, the radius you are willing to travel and/or issue. Another option is to browse by organizations or opportunities.  This option allows you to scroll through an alphabetical list of the organizations and volunteer opportunities we have available.  Last, you can view our calendar that lists community events that need volunteer help.

How do I sign up for an Opportunity? Once you have found a volunteer opportunity that you are interested in, click on the "Express Interest!" button on the right side of the Opportunity page. The organization that you have expressed interest in volunteering for will be notified of your interest, and provided with your contact information.  You will also be sent an email confirming that  your contact information has been sent to the Volunteer Coordinator of  that organization. Expressing Interest is not an agreement to volunteer.  It is a means to express your desire to learn more about the volunteer opportunity to determine if it is a good match for you.  You can express interest for more than one organization at a time. 

Group Volunteer Opportunities: If you have a group of individuals that would like to volunteer together, please contact us.  We can help you find the right volunteer opportunity for your group to make a difference in our community.
